The Glacern Modular Vise utilizes a patented system of pins and bushings to easily fix the jaws to the vise body. The pins make jaw installation fast, easy, and accurate. To remove the jaws, simply loosen the set screws holding them in place and detatch.

Every GMV Vise comes with Chip Defender™ built-in. This new design from Glacern Machine Tools incorporates the leadscrew into a fully sealed vise nut equipped with protective cover plates and military grade O-rings.

Your GMV Vise comes with a factory assembled screw mechanism that includes two nuts connected by the lead screw. The assembly is pre-lubricated and fully shielded & sealed with military grade O-rings, preventing contaminants such as chips and swarf from entering and clogging the screw. The entire assembly can be quickly removed from the vise body in seconds for simple and fast cleaning.

Static Footprint
Your Glacern Modular Vise has a static footprint, meaning that nothing will protrude beyond the footprint of the vise. Traditional vises sometimes have parts of the vise protruding, such as the screw, chip guards, endplate, etc. With the GMV, you’ll no longer worry if the vise will collide with your machine’s door or back column. The footprint always stays the same.

The screw and nut carriage assembly slides out of the body in seconds, and our Rapid Release jaws can be taken on and off effortlessly. The entire vise is designed for easy, fast cleaning - reducing setup times and maximizing productivity.

Choose from standard or slim jaw plates, choose between 5/8" or 11/16" cnc vise hardware, choose the classic Square Drive leadscrew or the Hexasquare Drive leadscrew for even more versatility.
