Positive inserts provide low vibration cutting and conserve spindle horsepower. The available Mitsubishi APMT carbide inserts cover the majority of workpiece materials used in most shops. Inserts can be used for rough and finish facing, as well as repeated roughing of 90 degree edges and shoulders.

Inserts for FM90 Facemills
Mitsubishi APMT 1604 carbide inserts with two cutting edges are available for FM90 facemills and EM90 endmills. Grade HTi10 - Aluminum specific (+ nonferrous metals and plastics). Highly polished surface with razor sharp edge. Use with coolant. Grade F7030 - General purpose grade for all materials. CVD TiN coating resists wear and chipping. Coolant is optional. Grade VP15TF - Excels in ferrous materials. AlTiN (purple) coating oxidizes at higher temperatures for rock hard coating. Top choice for dry machining.
